Lodge 2121 has been given a quota of 382 new members for 2008-2009. This is the largest membership quota in the statewide total quota of 10, 243 new or re-enrolled members. Obviously Moose International expects a lot out of us. Of course they do since we made our quota last year too, when it was the largest one in the state. But to keep things in perspective know this: 32 Lodges in Florida have a Lodge membership that is less than our annual quota!
Keep those membership applications handy, and remember that once a new member has paid his dues and enrollment fee he can use the Lodge-no waiting until the monthly Enrollment Ceremony.
As of September 1, we have enrolled 72 new members .
Enrollment of new members is conducted on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM, except this November when the ceremony will take place on November 13, 2008. In December, it will be conducted earlier: December 11, 2008. The Enrollment Ceremony is open to members in good standing as well as the enrollee’s family and friends.
Orientation for new members begins at 7:00 PM, and all candidates for Moose membership are expected to attend this informative session.
Enrollment fees: after you sponsor a member he must submit enrollment fees with his application. The money should accompany the application. Please ensure that the man you sponsor is aware that all fees MUST be paid before he can be enrolled.
Annually, after enrollment, every member receives a notice from Moose International concerning dues renewal. The annual dues CANNOT be paid at the Lodge. Dues may be paid on-line at www.mooseintl.org, or mailed to Dues Processing Center, Moose International, PO Box 88065, Chicago, IL 60680-1065.
Help the man you sponsor feel more welcome at the Lodge by attending his Enrollment Ceremony, and make sure that the new member is aware that his wife and children are welcome too. Prior to the ceremony, there is a short indoctrination session that informs the new members of all of the benefits of the Moose. The dress code for the Enrollment Ceremony is simple: dress slacks, a collared shirt and appropriate footwear. Tank tops, Tee-shirts and/or shorts are not considered appropriate for this ceremony.
