What can I volunteer to do at the Moose?
Well, almost anything and everything. Certain jobs are held by employees, e.g., Lodge Administrator, Office Manager, Cook, Bartender, Janitor. That leaves committee membership (Moose Charities, Auditing, Membership, Application Review, Community Service, Loss Prevention, Communications, Government Relations, Activities, Moose Legion, and Ritual), committee chairmen; meal servers, food prep, food cooking, meal host/hostess, cashier, food expediting; Monday and Friday bingo callers, bingo card sellers; membership-card checkers, all officer positions: governor, jr governor, treasurer, prelate, trustee (3), inner and out guard; lodge maintenance (repair and remodel the lodge facilities-not janitorial); dessert sales -Tuesday and Friday; 50/50 and door prize ticket sales; event preparations and take-down; event photographer/videographer…
The list isn’t complete-and probably never will be - but should give you an idea of the opportunities you have to support your Lodge, keep yourself busy and make new friends. We look forward to meeting you.
