Membership (enrollment) in the Loyal Order of the Moose is effective immediately upon the payment of enrollment fees and the first year’s dues. There is no waiting period or requirement that a new member attend an Orientation or Enrollment ceremony. At his first regular membership meeting he can learn more about the Fraternity, its history, functions and charitable institutions.

Enrollment fees: after you sponsor a member he must submit enrollment fees with his application. The money should accompany the application. Please ensure that the man you sponsor is aware that all fees MUST be paid before he can be enrolled. .

Membership

We are men and women from all walks of life. U.S. Presidents, sports professionals, the entertainment field, doctors and lawyers. We were founded in 1888 in Louisville Kentucky as a social organization. In 1906 James Davis got involved and soon our membership increased to 500,000 members in United States, Canada, Bermuda and United Kingdom.

In 1913 Davis bought a 1200 acre farm 40 miles West of Chicago Il. and named it Child City a school for homeless and underprivileged children. Today there have been more than 11,000 children that have graduated from Mooseheart High School and gone on to college. Also, in 1913 the Women of the Moose came into being. In 1922 Moose Haven was created in Orange Park Florida and is called City of Contentment - a home for our elderly members.This is paid for by our membership dues. We have more than 2,000 Moose Centers and in Florida alone we have 136 Moose Lodges.

We support our community, i.e., Salvation Army, Little League baseball, schools and we feed the hungry. W e are the LOYAL ORDER OF THE MOOSE #2121 and the WOMEN of the MOOSE #1619 located at 3462 Loveland Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida.

OUR MOTTO IS NO MAN STANDS SO STRAIGHT AND TALL AS WHEN HE STOOPS OVER TO PICK UP A CHILD.
